Reiatsu training room

Kaya stared at Hurs as he watched him focus energy into the ball. At first he wasn't able to think of a method of how Hurs would keep the orb glowing, he could tell him the academy way of doing it but he was a noob who just started class today, and worse of all a student was giving him advice. However considering his nature he has seen hurs display he could gather that while he was a thinker in a fight he goes with his gut. He decided to base his simple advice based on this and this alone

"Don't think about it, just be natural."
Kaya said with his arms folded and a blank look on his face as he yawned. Kaya had a talent for teaching others but he usually hated it due to his laid-back nature.

Ah?

He was going out of his way to make sure he could explain it to her in a way she could understood!

The flutter of her heart was a sensation that hadn't been felt in such a terribly long time. That empty sensation that lingered in it was replaced with a bright warmth that came with his words ringing in her ears, and her gaze focused on his own orb as the red bled into it with ease. Then came his words. Taking the lesson seriously...? She already had been. But if he didn't think she was...was she not doing well enough?! A soft hum upon her lips from the delight she took in his advice contradicted her inner obstacle of wanting to prove to him that she took every word he said with heavy weight and was more than ready to get back to her lesson. Izanami allowed him a deep bow in respect towards his request, regardless, to show that she was paying attention without question.

"I will not take these lessons with a grain of salt. Each one is operant and necessary to stay by your side, and I fully intend to walk whatever path it is that you choose. Thank you so much for your advice, Darling. Please, do enjoy your walk. I will take the time after this to attend the Hohou class that follows. I hope to see you after.~"

After he had left, she cursed herself inwardly for her lack of realization. She had let him leave without a kiss. Damn her for such a lack of attention. Woth a soft sigh, her mind turned away from everything else as she took to that void of hers again. But wait...

It wasn't a void anymore now. She had finally found what was waiting behind that emptiness. There was no more empty air that she sat upon.

It was a throne. Built for her, adorned with black thorns of dead flowers that whispered the sweetest nothings. A throne that rested upon the bodies of the dead that had fallen below, fixating them below her, down into the pit.

Yes. The Underworld itself. That is where her mind went to calm as the Reiatsu in her orb began to glow again in that checkered pattern, expanding until she has to settle it on her lap from it's increase in size and let it flow as she wished.

Small, like the screams so far under her, that begged to see the light.

Large, like the hands that held her choice of seat with a dedication like no other.

So many different concepts, all that led to the same thing that she has been seeking to find once again: Patience.

Patience resulted in control. And in this momet, her control for the duration of the lesson worked without flaw.

There it was. No need to dally any longer now.

A shift of her mind from where it had ventured off to the class that she sat within allowed her to stand up and look down at the orb as she maintained her checkered pattern as it sat in one hand. Good enough -- for the moment. Good enough to let her move on and get to class.

"Inu. I am going to the Hohou class now. Attend whatever class you think suits you based on your fighting style, rather than what I will be training my own body in. You are not to leave this classroom until you are able to manipulate the pattern in that orb to a series of spheres. I will expect you by my side after class."

Orders delivered by the Mistress, and a pat of his head to follow. She did care, thus she needed him to hone himself based on what he needed. With that done?... Her departure to attend the Hohou training. She needed to become faster if she was going to keep finding her husband, after all.~

He opened his eyes, his concentration being interrupted by the male with whom his Mistress had fallen for, and tilted his head slightly, looking at the two as they spoke. When his received his instructions from her, he nodded softly to her as she left.

"As you command Mistress."

Once she had left, he closed his eyes again, letting himself fall deep into his world again. Before his concentration had fluttered, he had been traveling through the blizzard that was his inner world. Now, however, the blizzard that had been raging had died down as quickly as it came, leaving only a soft snowfall in its wake. He was left alone, with no thoughts in his head at the moment except for one. The thought of protecting Izanami. It was a strong thought, one that usually came above all others in his head, and one that had helped him continue to go on even in death. It was this thought that he channeled through his body, letting it fill him with a conviction like no other. He would protect her, even if it meant his second death. He had to get stronger, had to be better. He had to protect Izanami from dangers. With this in his head, he focused again, letting his Reiatsu flow out of him, stronger then before. A sphere slowly formed around him, made of black and red Reiatsu, covering him completely. In just a few moments, the sphere grew darker and more solid, as though it was an actual sphere of red and black. It soon shrank in size, splitting off into a number of different spheres that circled him. The Blizzard in his mind was picking up again as he focused more and more, soon covering his mind it a white blanket. The smaller spheres that now circled him rotated around him steadily and slowly, each one the size of the control ball that he held in his right hand.

Mistress has given me a task. I will not fail her. I will complete this task today, or feel great shame.

These were the only thoughts that went through his otherwise focused mind. He couldn't fail her, nor would he dare. With that in mind, he tried harder, clearing his mind of those wandering thoughts, and in doing so, made the balls of Reiatsu larger. Each one was as big as a human basket ball now, and it was getting harder to control them. While he practiced, his clothes had started to take on a more shadowy aspect, rippling and moving in a non-existent wind. His mask had grown even darker then it normally was, while his hair slowly turned white. If anyone else had saw him from his spot above the class, they might have said he was ill, or a new student that was doing rather well. Some would even look at him in fear, seeing what he truly was, the Dog of the Underworld. After a few more minutes of doing this, he let his Reiatsu slowly diminish, opening his eyes as the balls faded from sight. He nodded to himself, his form back to its normal appearance, and jumped down, landing on the ground quietly. He looked around at them all for a moment before making his own way out the door, thinking of following Izanami but then thinking about what else he would need in order to do better in protecting her.

I need to learn the art of defense. Hand to hand?

He thinks on that for a moment before nodding and making his way out of the class, now knowing where he needed to go.

"Welp, that settles it. Let's go out on the town and have some fun."

Hurs said to all those interested for a looksee around the Rukongai districts. There was a whole underground world that was inaccessible to most commoners and only allowed those with some level of power or status to partake in the comfort within its walls. Now that Hurs had free food and shelter, his money could go towards something much more worthwhile than just surviving: drinking. It was a good way to get him and others into the right mindset for picking up one of the most dangerous if not the most dangerous careers in existence. He wondered if most of the students actually took the time to compute the survival rates of most shinigami in their missions. It wasn't something to be taken lightly. He told them to meet him at 10PM giving them time to attend some classes and pick up what they could before celebrating their first week.

As more students walked in, Hurs decided to sit down and observe those filing in. He watched as a tall man walked in, looking exceptionally fit as well as a yellow-eyed woman. They gave an air of strength to the room. There were also some particularly odd types that looked like young men and women from some kind of clan all decked out in masks and accessories.

Hurs chuckled.

"Oh shit, hollows are already coming for us guys."

He said to a few of the more normal looking types, who either chuckled with him or were indifferent. If everyone in the classroom graduated it had to be one of the most diverse graduation classes ever.

He listened to the instructions and then went back into focus. HIs reiatsu was incredibly elusive; something he had already presumed would happen due to his barely above average talent in all of this.

It came as almost a false sense of security. Hurs was about to give up. He didn't feel any different the first time it worked. Maybe that was a one-time deal and someone had put a light bulb in an orb as a practical joke.

He tried one last time trying to latch on to the hole in a sky idea and closed his eyes. Once he had imagined that he had entered through that hole, he tried to feel for anything different and realized something. He could strangely... feel and sense things a little bit better. The air conditioning and body heat of those in the room he all felt a little better than he usually did, like he had become more alert and mentally active than ever before. Most importantly, he could feel vibrations all around him, not like an earthquake but more like a heightened sense of the movement of everything in the room...

Was it placebo? He opened his eyes to make sure once he had really felt the orb start to vibrate, hoping and praying it wasn't just in his head.

Lo and behold, there was a faint silver light around his body complemented with the orb slightly glowing.

"Interesting..."

The hole in the sky technique worked to both summon his reiatsu and start filling the orb. The feeling Hurs needed was simply the feeling of calm and harmony with the environment around him. He now began to really pour it on. Because he had already practiced using Kaya's advice, he had a bit of a headstart. After the class was over, he had successfully created a large shield that only lasted for three seconds then dissipated. Hurs' reiatsu scared him.. he didn't really like opening his mind to such an extent and decided it was time for him to take a break and practice some other time.

Jack peered about, bemused by the odd students who were filling the room. He pocketed the orb as the instructor gave the same advice that Hurs had. Jack gave a nod as students began releasing their spiritual energy. A rainbow of glowing nonsense and people with lame grins on their faces is all Jack could see.

"It's become awfully rambunctious in here. Not my cup of tea really. I'll see you gentlemen tonight."

Jack gave a nod to Hurs and Kayak as he departed from the classroom. Jack wandered towards the courtyard for a moment enjoying a nice breeze through the air. He sat down and leaned against a low wall to a fountain. Things weren't all that bad here really. It seemed that fate waz going to sort itself out in the next few years.

As night began to fall, Jack splashed water from the fountain upon his face to wake up a little. Why did he want a drink so badly again? A yawn answered his question for him. It seems that he had halfway forgotten about not sleeping lately. Maybe it was the electeic feeling in the air, like it was supercharged with energy around here... Either way, the blond shinigami swaggered off towards Rukongai.

After Hurs had decided to leave Kaya had decided to follow, anything was better than sticking around with a bunch of students. He didn't hate it but as sociable as he was large crowds annoyed him to an extent, though that too was most likely a byproduct of wanting to avoid fights and with that thought he quickly made his way to the exit.

Aoisuke had looked up from his reading of the scroll of his family's history when he heard the announcement made over the speaker system. Despite his icy persona, he was in fact nervous about this as he got up from the empty class he was reading in, placed the scroll within the confines of his robes and head over to the room where the sensei had announced. As he walked in, he acknowledged the teacher by bowing to him and took his own seat in the room. He sat in front so he can drink all the knowledge that the teacher was to dispense. With that thought he took out his note pad and quill and ink pot and prepared himself to take notes as well. As he spoke, the teacher that is, his hands moved as the quill was dipped into the ink pot and the sound of his scribbling on the parchment could be heard by those present. He was given looks from the other students which he had to ignore because is notes were important. The teacher recommended that he close his eyes, just as he would do back home while he prayed, and try to find that force within him called reiatsu.

As he slipped into a deep concentration, he could see himself in a graveyard littered with grave stones. Upon one of them in particular was a stone angel perched upon a crypt of some kind. The grave yard was indeed cold as the wind whipped about him and animated his hair and his robes in this vision of his. Curiously enough, there was a humanoid figure perched atop the angel's wings. It had no face just a warmth that Aoisuke drew comfort from and was drawn to. And so, he walked towards it and as he did, its head turned towards him and Aoisuke could sense even if it had no eyes, it was looking at him. The feeling although was familiar, as if he saw it before in a dream, was still disturbing. Aoisuke tried his best to ignore the feeling and tried to stretch upwards to touch the being and it simply vanished, much to the frustration of himself. As he opened his eyes, he realized that he was dripping with sweat and others were looking at him while others were too entrapped in their own trials to notice him. He felt faint and weak and he was out of breath but it did not shake his resolve. When he regained his composure, he again closed his eyes and again slipped into deep concentration. Again he saw the purple figure but this time its face was mere inches away from Aoisuke. Then it spoke in his own voice...

What is it that you seek?

I seek to use my power for the good of Soul Society and the upkeep of its laws...and to protect those that need my strength...

I know your words are true but beware that in the future you do not let this power corrupt you Aoisuke...

I refuse for that to happen...even if its just a little...please help me...

The figure actually leaned forward and entered Aoisuke's body and this forced him to open his eyes. For two seconds, purple reiatsu erupted all around him and swirled about his body and it died down as quickly as it lasted. Again he was out of breath and again there were others that looked at him but this time their faces did not bear the expression of annoyance but of that of surprise. He found that he was able to catch his breath a little fast this time. And not a moment too soon as the lecturer was already ready to move on onto a second exercise. From what he gathered, this will be a sort of home work. He was truly amazed that the sensei was able to do it so effortlessly. Over the next three days Aoisuke was to sacrifice his time and energy fully in the mastering of this shield technique. God knows, that he could not take much more concentration like this, so the break was indeed welcome. Then the class was over as Aoisuke went to collect his own personal orb to practice with.

"Attention all new students to the academy a seminar is about to start that you will need to attend in order to become great and powerful shinigami! Please come to class 43 in the Reiatsu training area."
The lecturer put down the announcement speaker and stood at the head of the class room as the new students came into the room, taking seats in the large isles in a semi-circle in front of him he scanned over them. It was a habit of the lecturers to look over the students to see if they could pick out any strong candidates that could be given to mentors or put in the first class shinigami lessons.

As the room settled he coughed into his hand bringing the attention to him. Tapping a pointer stick on his leg he walked to stand center to the students.

"I shall be your lecturer for today i regret that the normal lecturer who takes the first lessons cannot be here as he is away on a mission for his division. Now then this is your first lecture, do not be scared or anxious everything you will learn today is just your first step." He sat back on the edge of the desk and cleared his throat again. It had been annoying him for some time and having to take this class was not part of his normal business.

"You will learn several things today. How to channel your Reiatsu and begin a technique that will also be your assignment over the next week. Your Reiatsu is what makes you special in fact it sums up most of the reason why you are here. Some people find it hard to control whilst others can use it like a fine tuned instrument. This however does not dictate that you are better for being able to control it than the others. History has shown many times that there have been people unable to control their Reiatsu but have become great and powerful Shinigami and even captains."

He scratched his head and gave them a few seconds.
"There are many different descriptions of Reiatsu and it is believed it is mostly down to the user themselves. Some have found they find Reiatsu like a river the flows through their bodies, by channeling that river or blocking off places they can control it. If you like it is a mental guide to help you control the power you have. Others have found that it is like a raging fire and often have problems with controlling their Reiatsu but easily can tap into its power and release it in order to fight. In some noted cases people feel it like a running tap of water as their Reiatsu flows out of them and into that ever it is they wish to use. Then they can turn off the tap or lessen the flow depending how much they want to use or control."

Again he took a short break for them to make notes and think on what he has said. Often he reflected that students take a que to one of the mentioned ways to tap into their Reiatsu and then often start to develop their own methods to control it. Taking a long breath he let it out slowly before continuing.

"What i would like you all to do first for me is to try and tap into your supply of Reiatsu. I warn you now for some people it can be volatile and you may let out too much and tire fast or even burst out. Do not be alarmed many of the current captains did the same thing when they first started here. Some of you might find it almost impossible to find your Reiatsu, that might be because it is a bit untamed and might later flare up when you least expect it. You may only find a drip of Reiatsu and that is fine also as it means you are on the right path to unlocking the rest you are just not there yet. One last thing before you try it close your eyes and try to feel for it inside of you. Use any tips i may have given you or if you have already found it before now try retracing those steps. You may find you emit a colour around you. That colour is dependant on the person and is the colour of your Reiatsu. Now begin!"

((Note this is an important part when you write your post you should think hard on this and how your character finds it, what colour it is, how easy/difficult it is and how they feel about it as well as observing others around you.))

Having taken a seat behind his desk the lecturer let the students test their abilities some struggled, their faces going red straining themselves as if that would help. Others exploded into colour making the pupils next to them jump from their seats whilst some emitted a faint aura of their colour. He chuckled it was amusing to watch at least. Finally after giving them time to experiment properly he stood and coughed again drawing their attention and clearing his thought.

"Good, good don't worry if you haven't tapped into your Reiatsu the second exercise will help you dramatically." From a draw in the desk he produced a dusty well used orb and held it up to the class.

"At the end of the lecture i will give you all one of these each to take away. Your assignment is as follows. You are to produce a hard shield around your person for five seconds with a controlled execution and retraction of the possess." The orb emitted a strong light blue aura filling the orb and then in a burst a glass like shield formed around him and then after five seconds slowly faded as did the blue light in the orb.

"In order to do this there are several steps you must over come. The first is to gather up your Reiatsu and push it into the orb. This is in some ways the most difficult part as you must also control how much you put into it or if you put to much in it will explode and you will be injured. Too little and nothing will happen. The second stage is the execution of the shield to do this you must have the orb filled with your reiatsu and picture the shield around you to activate it. The third and last part is the control and forming of the hardened shield. For this you must concentrate to control your Reiatsu keeping it steady and harden the shield then hold it for five seconds... It is likely at this time you do not have the stamina nor the Reiatsu to hold it that long but i shall explain in a moment."

He placed the orb back on the desk and walked to the middle so that all the students could see what he was doing.
"The trick is simple you must practice this constantly for three days only then will you attain enough Reiatsu to do this. First hold the orb in front of you and close your eyes. Imagine the orb in your minds eye and then a black hole in the center of the orb. Throw yourself into the hole in your minds eye and feel your Reiatsu pur in with it, several things may happen you will either for sure under fill the orb and in which case you much practice this constantly forcing everything you have in without giving in eventually you will build up the stamina and Reiatsu to fill the orb. Or you will over fill the orb and your Reiatsu will explode on you and you shall be thrown backward and tire fast. If this is the case then you must try and hold some of your Reiatsu back. In many ways this is harder than building your Reiatsu up as you will have to find your own way to control your Reiatsu. This in itself will take you at least a day and a half to just about complete."

The lecturer took a breather and drank some water this was always the longest bit.
"Right after you have learnt to control your Reiatsu to fill the orb you then still in your minds eye picture the shield forming around the image of yourself in the hole, you much concentrate and hold this for as long as you can. At first you may not have the stamina to keep it up and so you must practice or you may be to virulent with it and keep pushing too much Reiatsu into it and making it explode.
I can't stress the need to practice constantly. This exercise has always taken no less than three days in total no matter who has done it."

((THAT IS 3 REAL LIFE DAYS IN REAL TIME! so when you post your training bear in mind that you will not do everything in one go you need to be detailed about how your character overcomes each bit... PM me if yah need help but just go with the feeling of what you think your character would be like doing this.))

The lecturer walked up the center to the main exit and produced a large bag full of orbs from behind a seat and stood there.
"You are all dismissed please collect an orb from me as you leave." As the students left single file he handed each of them an orb. Little did they know that this orb represented their whole future as a shinigami, how they would tackle this would start them on their path that only they can walk.

Takara rolled the orb between her hands, getting a better feel for its weight and bulk. It was roughly the size of a ball kids use to kick around in the streets near her family compound. Once upon a time she had wanted to go out and join them, now it just seemed like a childish afterthought.

Physically, she was in perfect condition. Her family had saw to it that any imperfections had been treated and even beat out of her when necessary. However, training the body was easy, anyone with enough willpower and the determination to see things through could master themselves. On the other hand, the mind was a different animal all together.

The human body was durable, able to recover from most wounds and injuries given time. The mind however, wasnt governed the same way. It could be easily bent and even broken given the right circumstance. There was many things one could do to strengthen a body through training, but not much for the psyche.

Regardless of her thoughts on the subject, this training was obviously a mental training exercise, one given enough time all students would be able to use and conquer.

She sat down on the hard wooden floor, crossing her legs and placing the orb on her lap. Both hands now pressed against the cool glass surface lightly, enough pressure for meaningful contact without exerting any real force.

Taking one last account of herself, Takara took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Clearing her mind was easy enough, as well as focus on the task at hand. A meditative state was what she was aiming for in order to awaken the spiritual energy that resided within her.

Nothing immediately came to her, if it was there as they said it was it must've been buried deep. Takara was far from ready to give up at the moment, she'd stick with it until she had the result she wanted.

The moment Takara found the source of her spiritual energy, she focused in on it like a hawk might a mouse in a field. It was small at first, in her minds eye, a small light in the darkness.

She pictured herself running towards it. The light itself not moving, but slowly getting bigger. This continued in her mind for quite some time, the battle with the light. There were moments where she thought she was on the verge of a breakthrough, then the moment would disappear. Growing continually frustrated at the turn of events, She stopped running towards the light, The mind was complicated, and with a bit of thinking much could be accomplished. If running to the light wouldn't bring it closer, then commanding it may.

Holding out a hand within her mind, she made a mental command towards the light.

"Come."

The light wavered momentarily, shimmering as if the command had triggered something. Suddenly, the light ballooned in size, its once small size now growing and encompassing all that she could see. The rush of energy caught her off guard, and out of her meditative state.

Shaking her head, she looked around, a golden orb encompassing her and the area in which she sat. Just large enough for her to sit in without being cramped. It occurred to her after looking around, that time had passed quickly while she had been lost in her own mind. A tray of food and water sat beside her, but both seemed a bit stale at the moment.

The shield fell at her will, it seemed she had spent most of the time in her mind just trying to find her reiryoku, the actual part that many students got the hang of relatively quickly. It had been the opposite for her, the actual control was something she seemed adept at rather than something she struggled with.

Her body creaked as she stood, orb in hand, Groaning as she did. Her body was stiff and her legs hurt from not moving, Takara could also feel a wave of exhaustion coming over her as well. She hadn't slept in the equivalent of two days.

Picking her tray up with a free hand, she walked to the exit, dropping the entire thing into the trash as she made her way back to the dorms with the practice orb. She needed to clean up, get some food and then focus on sleep.

She hadn't wanted to interrupt the lesson for the moment, so she'd arrived just in time to hear the instructions of what was going on before her appearance came. The abrupt entry of the masked woman came with a beeline to her Husband. The box in her arms was a traditional bento, wrapped up in a black and purple bundle and tied off with a red string and placed by her side along with the orb she'd snatched up on her way to where Pluto laid. It was a tilt of the head as she stared down at the sight of bandaged that poked out of the bare corners of his clothes (thankfully his, this time).

Had he been hurt?... She'd let him get hurt! She shouldn't have gone and left him, after all...

Izanami didn't want to break his concentration, but it was a necessity to learned what happened in the event that something needed to be done. Not only that, but her eyes were diligent in noticing even the smallest trickle of sweat upon his skin, the way his frame was as he sat down...She disliked this. A lot.

"Would you care to take a minute's break to eat? I bought you a snack."

And true to her word, she had. Sitting down on her own legs and resting her hands on her lap, the masked woman went right to the Dormitories to create something edible for Pluto after she had left her Hohou lesson, then gone out of her way to go about trying to find him like a good wife should. Her feet were terribly sore at this point for all the running around she'd done, but it was alright for his sake...

"I'm sorry to interrupt. You just seem a bit tired...And ah, good afternoon. Did anything unfortunate occur whilst I was away?..."

Well wasn't it funny to see the frame of the worried soul practically glow with the response given to her? Despite herself, Izanami was more than happy to take a seat in the chair by Pluto's side and produce a set of lacquered chopsticks for him as he went about opening his "snack". Apparently, the Wife of this couple was damned in concept to a small offering -- instead, the three-tiered box had enough food crammed in it for three.

...Oh?... She was invited to partake in her cooking as well? That was... Very kind of him, actually...

"Yes, in fact. I was indecisive on what to make today, so I chose to make a variety...I'd like you to pick what you want to eat first, though."

It was all fine and all dandy. ...But then there was mention of a spar. Someone else had hurt him? The thought completely irrationalized everything else in her mind for the moment as she focused on that specifically. A tilt of the head and that mask served as her function to keep from a rage. Instead, the masked woman focused on the question of her own well-being to keep her focus at hand -- and it would be rude to not answer her beloved, would it not?

"I went to train on my speed. It's fun to run -- I didn't think I'd be able to move quite well with my attire, but it was...nice to run so fast. Other than your sparring mishap, have you been able to rest for a time? It's imperative that you keep yourself well while I am away. Who hurt you?"

And she would be happy to wait -- help even if he needed, and keep to offering up a few choice edibles in kind as she went to explaining them all.
"I made chicken donburi, edamame, pork gyoza, several rice balls with some fruits in the middle, fried rice, takoyaki, and sushi. I may have...overdone it a little...I had a bad feeling that you weren't at your best. Hopefully my cooking can cheer you up!"

It was a pleasant feeling to have, talking to Pluto like this and relaxing as she watched him pick out what he planned to eat - ah...halving it all? ...it bought a smile to the woman's face to see the way he left half of each of the edibles she'd cooked for her to indulge upon. With one of the riceballs taken for her own, she lifted her mask up just enough to let her lips and teeth sink into the baked rice and seek out the strawberry resting in the middle of the triangular-shaped food in order to chew upon it with a happy delight.
"It makes me happy to see you happy. Thank you for being thoughtful in your way of separating things."
It was the best thing to be able to sit down like this and enjoy her afternoon in this manner. Nothing better, nothing to worry about-

What was she to him?

One of her eyes twitched underneath her mask as she turned her head to him and swallowed down her partially-consumed riceball. Taking hold of one of the Gyoza with her own set of chopsticks produced from the insides of her sleeves, her words needed to be selected...carefully...very, very carefully...Lying to him at such a point would be poor, horrible even...But she had no intentions of giving up what she'd found, now that she'd been given the perfect chance to be accepted as the significant other of the man in front of her. ...So she didn't need to lie. Not in the slightest.

She just needed to tell the truths that made sense.

"That's fine, to not remember. To me, you are someone that I want to spoil, to give every bit of my love to, to ensure the safety and happiness of, and to be at the side of. To me, you're a person of significance over near all else, someone that I would happily give my life for to ensure your own safety, and someone that gave to me another way to view my own existence when it seemed that I was a mere lost cause for all that I'd done. A savior, and loved one. ...If your soul is in conflict, if you feel to be in turmoil...Then I want to help as much as I can for your sake."

It was the gentlest smile that fell upon her lips before she finally bought that gyoza to her mouth and let her teeth sink into the soft pork and bread. She really had hoped he'd think her cooking tasty as he ate his share. Her mind had sorted out everything that she'd assumed would be able to appropriately answer his questions without destroying what she'd carefully pinned together with needle and thread in order to forge what could hopefully be the one thing that she'd been craving for such a long while now. A gentle tap of his shoulder -- an action she'd do constantly -- and Izanami held up a piece of the katsu to feed to him with every bit affection as a real wife would have for the man she chose to marry.

"That includes trying to soothe your mind now and then by offering you good food. I'm glad you like it. You're one to experience unique things. If a soul with a soul is possible, then I don't find it taboo or unorthodox. It's just simply something that makes you more 'you' and unlike 'everyone else'."

She had a terrible feeling in the pit of her stomach as she closed her eyes and nodded slowly. The announcement was something nice, but for the moment she had to finish eating what was left of her meal as Jin stood up and made ready to leave. These questions made her sad to answer for some unfathomable reason... What was it that made her so sad in giving each one of the inquiries to her own emotions at that moment in particular? ...It didn't matter, as she took her half of the lunch she'd made and slowly moved aside both the robes of her uniform and tugged down the sash that kept her kimono underneath held together in order to turn away from the male for a moment and slowly feed the edibles into the second mouth that opened up at her stomach. With unreasonable clean teeth, and a large tongue to bring the riceballs and all inside, it was a direct link to her stomach despite the way that it caused her body to remain "inconsistent", allowing her to finish up quickly and let her clothes settle back to their original stature in order to hide it once more as she held up the empty bento box.

"Of course. I have yet to visit the Kido room myself. It would be fun to go and practice with you. Learning these new things serves up for a plethora of ideas."

With her own Asuashi hidden within the confines of her kimono, she clutched at her stomach for a moment from...essentially eating too fast, before stepping forward to trail behind the man that she moreorless had come to stalk and (try to) care for. Perhaps her Dog would come trailing by later as well while they practiced. It'd be interesting to see him and Pluto interacting once more now that he had ceased trying to steal and wear the male's clothing.

Maybe then these horrible feelings in the pit of her stomach would stop?

Hurs oozed into the reiatsu room, a little bit buzzed from a few drinks (it was the best way to get him into the mood for training reiatsu). He took a seat and looked around and then stared directly at the old fart. He sniffed and rolled his eyes under his sunglasses as the professor introduced yet another seemingly useless technique. When he finally got to the point that this would all lead to strengthening the body by projecting spiritual energy to different parts of the body, Hurs nodded his head understanding that he had sold the man short before he could finish.

He took a place in the room and calmed his breathing while searching for his reiatsu. He reached deep inside once again and felt the cold brush of the energy on his back as he literally immersed into the universe. He felt like a steadfast giant, able to stand for all eternity and weather whatever was thrown at him. This was all, however, just a fleeting mirage as he had only tapped into a parcel of his reiatsu.

He breathed out as he lost it. Damn this was frustrating. He would try again but try and capture his modicum of reiatsu like a firefly in a bottle and then focus on another part of his body. He tried again. The steadfast giant searched for a greater meaning and soon found paradise as he recognized that he was one and could travel anywhere.

The reiatsu became less Hurs, and more of a steady silver light resting at the base of the student's spine. He couldn't really see the light nor could anyone else around him but he knew deep down what the color was. He suddenly stretched open his palm and urged the orb to travel through his body and towards the palm. His hand glowed, but still no orb.

He grinned at his success. It wasn't perfect but he was finally getting somewhere. He would have to actually figure out how to harden and shape the reiryoku into something a bit more distinct. At that point, he felt something strange... and familiar... reach out to him from his heart as he looked forward at the future. He didn't know where the uncertainty was coming from, but he decided to shake it off. Maybe it was excess anxiety as a result from the prospect of graduating and becoming a shinigami nearing.

He left the class as soon as it was dismissed and went to his dorm. He would work on this later but he decided it was time to take a break and check out the announcement that had just been issued through the intercom.

Janza knew there wasn't much time to spare in this class.  People were congregating in the courtyard, and it piqued his curiosity.  There was no true announcement or details, all they said was to go there to listen to some clown from the 12th.  Maybe it wasn't quite his style, but if a seated shinigami wanted to come to the academy... it seemed like a good idea to go.

Without a second glance, Janza grabbed an orb and left for the courtyard.

Hana entered the Reiatsu training room quietly for her very first lesson. The announcer told her to head to class 43, so that is what she did. When she entered the classroom, she noticed the lecturer at the front of a grand room full of large aisles of desks in a semi-circle in front of him. Hana was not the only one to walk through the doors, so she quickly found a seat towards the front, but somewhere in the middle so she would be able to be attentive yet not highly noticeable. After she sat down, she gently looked around with a cool and collective expression, her posture straight and elegant, radiating clues where she could have came from, and her family background without her having to explain herself.

After the room settled, the lecturer cleared his throat and last minute murmurs and hushed whispers stopped completely, and everyone stared at the lecturer as he began to speak. He then began to explain what Reiatsu was to the class. Hana knew the basics of what Reiatsu was from the old man at her family's shrine, however, she was still learning new things about it. The descriptions of how Reiatsu flowed and generally worked made sense in Hana's mind. She could imagine and depict the details that the lecturer was describing to them in her mind clearly. As he was talking, Hana was taking diligent notes along with some general pictures to help her visualize everything later when she began studying by herself.

After a pause so Hana and the other's could catch up with notes on the lecture, the teacher informed them that they were about to discover and try to tap into their Reiatsu. This made Hana slightly nervous because she remembered the old man at the shrine saying that she had high spiritual energy, but he didn't go into detail about it. Doing as instructed, Hana closed her eyes and took a soft and slow breath to calm her thoughts before visualizing the descriptions that her teacher explained behind her closed eyelids. Hana visualized the tap and visualized herself turning the handle gently until there was a constant flow of water. After a few seconds of the image, Hana thought she had failed to pull out her Reiatsu from inside because outside of her visualization she could not feel anything different, so she opened her eyes softly in disappointment. However, that was not the case, when she opened her eyes, she saw a gentle golden-yellow color surrounding her being. She then realized that there was a soft warm feeling coming from her chest. At that moment, Hana noticed that the color surrounding her could be more pigmented and brighter, however a peer next to her exploded into color which made her jump softly.

After a few more minutes, the teacher coughed again and everyone, again became silent and focused on him. The golden-yellow color that was surrounding her dissipated gradually as she began to focus more on the teacher than her Reiatsu. Hana watched in awe as he demonstrated their next task and lesson. After explaining everything, they were dismissed. Hana stood up and exited towards the door and after she received her orb, she gave a small bow in thanks to her teacher before heading out to explore around, and trying to find a quiet place to practice.

"Attention all new students to the academy a seminar is about to start that you will need to attend in order to become great and powerful shinigami! Please come to class 43 in the Reiatsu training area."

Arekusu looked up at the announcement, he shrugged at the coincidence and began to make his way to the Reiatsu training area from the dormitory. Gathering with the bustle of new students he seemed just one amongst many in comparison to the relative individuality of Rukongai outside the shinigami’s sheltered existence.

As he walked down a few stairs he immediately took a seat in the middle. People seemed to be forming groups already, he didn’t exactly fit in normally so didn’t feel inclined to mix like the rest. Watching people was a thing when you worked in a shop, observing behaviour dulled the boredom of taking orders and passing it along to his adoptive family to deliver but he was content with that much.

Lecturer:

Arekusu thought on this concept for a moment, from what his adopted parents had told him it had always seemed like a smouldering energy that pressured them. Perhaps the teacher was explaining the internal concept but there also seemed to be an external concept of how to control that energy too.

Lecturer:

Arekusu took a deep breath a practical lesson was his favourite but things were a bit vague since his only understanding of Reiatsu had been an explanation and just an experience of a burst of energy and someone telling him he had it.
Closing his eyes he searched for something, a feeling or maybe an instinct. There wasn’t anything that struck out a he did. He searched for a river or a tap a network of paths of a gushing waterfall.

Still nothing came to him. ‘Empty, empty nothing but breathing, breath, breathe…’ clearing his mind he focused less and less. Letting go of his self was easy, being bored was part of his life. Then he felt it, not as described but he jolted out of it as a tingle like static ran up his back and down his arms. He almost missed it, like an aura of very light yellowy green that crackled white at its edge like static.

As soon as he felt it thought it was gone, not very overwhelming. Some students fared up with bright gushing energy that made their fellows pass out beside them. Others strained and then blew themselves out of their seats as they lost control and depleted all their energy like their energy like the teacher said. Arekusu guessed there were allot of strong students this year, he would likely just me another grunt in the years to come.

Lecturer:

Arekusu feeing somewhat underwhelmed stood and walked to the lecturer. “Thank you for your teachings.” Giving a curt bow he took the items from the teacher and followed the masses back out into the corridor. ‘Well that was that I suppose. Now I need to find some place to practice.’ Taking out his map of the Academy he considered it for a moment. ‘I suppose the courtyard is as good a place as any. At least I won’t blow anyone else up.’
