Academy training excercise

The air smelled like rotten eggs, mixed with rotten milk, mixed with old rotten apples on top of a bed of roses... or a cake.  No doubt, the presence of so many hollows in the vicinity had a domineering presence that was figuratively shoved down his throat to the pit of his stomach.  It was an oppressive air that sapped into every muscle.  Muscles tense, blood pumping, throat parched, and every single instinct drowning out all sounds with an overwhelming shout; it took every ounce of his self control to keep any semblance of self control.  Everything told him to run.  Every instinct told him that death was in front of him.  It wasn't safe to be here.  In a place where the blood of some of his fellow students already stained the ground, Janza just couldn't run.  Maybe that was an instinct itself?

Janza felt an itch on the back of his neck, an urge to run, but why couldn't he?  Was he the kind of ass that had to look good in front of girls like little lady Hana over there?  Maybe the testosterone or pride was flowing from watching Ryu's grand charge, and showing the large man up was the only option.  Or, and this was most likely, these people he barely knew were almost like a family, his pack.  Being alone again would kill him inside.  Kiyame would never forgive him if he ran.  Annnnnnd then there were douchebags like Hurs and Kaya that didn't give a damn about anybody but themselves.  At least Anira had the decency to to cut that tentacle free.  Oh, and she brought him a hollow to play with.

Janza felt time stop as he took a deep breath.  For a tiny moment he felt the reiatsu of his comrades and the hollows assaulting them, the flow of the air in and around the building, and a coppery dust covered in blood.  It all came together in an instant.  Let's give them a show, he thought with a spare glance toward Pluto and Hana before time came crashing back into motion.

Janza turned with the momentum of the tentacle as it was slice and launched his asauchi packed with reishi particles toward one of the legs of the lumbering hollow, that had followed Anira. An acrid smell was emanating somewhere from the beast, and he thought he heard some kind of sizzling back toward the main street.  Whatever attack it had would do what his weak blades could not do to the mushroom shaped tentacle delight.  If only it would attack, but he didn't want to leave that to chance.  The small reiatsu orb felt slick in his bloody hands as it practically flew from a hidden pocked.  

It will have to do as bait.  The orb suddenly came to life as he poured as much reiatsu into it as he could manage while on the run.  Pulling and pushing at the reiatsu until it started to spiral, he tossed his present nonchalantly over his shoulder into the tangled mess of utterly creepy appendages that moved like dozens of angry snakes.  Dropping into a low roll, his hand locked onto the handle of his asauchi as he shot under the large hollow to the other side.  Without a moment of hesitation, he launched himself toward the thing's back, half jumping and half running along the air.  Reiatsu poured into both wooden and metal blade alike before he thrusted down into its back, just short of the neck, with every ounce of strength he could muster.

Could he turn the hollow into his own personal artillery that could harm the tentacled hollow in a way his blades could not?


((Made an assumption there... I guess play accordingly.  /shrug ))

"Yeah.. that's right stick by me..."

Hurs gasped and looked up into the night sky as he suddenly got hit by debris falling from the building. At the same time, his allergies began to kick in. He dodged the swooping hollow as he sneezed, cried, sweated, and yelled at the same time, his body going into pure panic mode.

"Allergies? Ahhhh9XCXCPV9UB"

"Wait a minute I haven't had allergies since I was a hum- AHHH TSADC,XVCMMN12LK!! Oh god what's happening that thing is gonna kill us!"

Hurs' third sneeze would be drowned out by the hollow's shriek. He used his reiatsu to regain his composure by yelling and summoning as much fighting spirit-u to match the hollow's ferocity and then  tried to drop to a knee in the fastest and most disciplined way possible. He would use his trusty sword to cut its tail using its own momentum, but the darn thing was way too fast for his reflexes. The power from the tail whip sent into his sternum cured his allergies for a few seconds as he couldn't breathe.

His eyes were just flowing with tears from so much respiratory trauma. He was fading fast until he could hear the hollow shriek to continue its attack. He rolled out of the way, determined to survive. He gasped for breath and crawled a bit towards Kaya.

"... It's just another bar fight right? Haha, we can do this man we just gotta get to a more suitable environment. On the count of 3 when that thing comes back I'll lead it into that entrance over there... that's called a manhole..."

Hurs said pointing towards the more narrow entrance that led into underneath the street. He got up and ran over to pull it open half-way. He would use his air-step technique to balance a bit better on the half-opened lid.

"I'll play dead. Once it's stuck I'll see what I can do. Make sure it doesn't get back out here, it's better for it to be shoved into the sewers and us fighting it there than anything else. Oh and take this."

Hurs handed Kaya his asauchi and unsheathed his bokken. He then ran over to the manhole and stood over the opening, kicking it a bit open with his legs

"Heeeey!!! I thought moths were vegetarian! Well I can see why they are now because they obviously suck at fighting! T-try and finish the job if you can!"

Hurs was trying to would take a full-on vertical divebomb. Once the hollow was close enough he would kick down hard to flip the half-way opened lid  open and fall inside. Hopefully the hollow would have too much momentum to turn on the airbrakes and get stuck. Once he was stuck Hurs would be face to face with the monster with only a wooden bokken as a weapon. He hoped Kaya knew how to use a sword well.

"Shit this mother Fucker here Urgh!" Ryu had watch as his Kido had absolutely no effect on this Hollow skin. Not to mention he was rewarded with yet another punch which sended him flying back yet another 15 feet. As Ryu had flew back he ended up falling directly off the rooftop. As he fall he did a graceful backflip then created a Reiastu Platform. Ryu face was bruise up he  had snarled,"Damn this hollow!"



Regaining his footing as he sprinted back to back  the roottop. Only to be greeted by a reaistu base hollow scream. Causing Ryu to stumble back yet another 5 feet it had nearly cause Ryu feet to buckle. Ryu had said,"If only I more kido spells. Kido this fight would be easier. I shouldn't have come to this excerise ... ShitWAIT THAT IT!"

Regaining his position Ryu had summon fourth a bright red aura. He had shealthe his blades. As he mumble under his breath. He had stay stationary to. Was he lurking the Hollow in or what? But whatever it was it was going to be epic because Ryu had people to protect that exactly what he was going to do to.

Hana wanted to slap some sense into all these people around her so bad. Was it her presence that made these men try and become manly and play the knight? One that was stupid, and two, she could handle herself. Could the others not see that it requires team work to defeat these hollows? None of them had zanpakutos yet, only asauchis, and even the more advanced students, only knew basic levels of kido. Though it was inevitable for her classmates and herself to not walk away unharmed, Hana did not want to witness the deaths of her teammates and peers.

Hana noticed hat the boy that was fighting the nearest to her was using a lot of his reiatsu for a single attack. If he wasn't careful, he will burn out of it and then proceed to pass out, which will do no good even though he may or may not defeat the one hollow in front of him. Though he had skill and talent, He was using up too much energy on one hollow, when there were dozens left. She needed them to gather, though Anira said that was a bad idea. They needed to work together, and come up with a unified plan so that they may defeat the most hollows without using up too much energy to destroy a couple.

She just witnessed Ryu fall off of the roof and then rebound back up onto the same roof, though it was obvious that the hollow that he was up against had the upperhand. She was wanting to call out to him, so that's what she did. If these people would not get a grip onto reality themselves, she will hand it to them on a silver platter. Hana suddenly felt Ryu's reiatsu leak in strong waves. "Stupid!! What are you doing?! Don't let your pride and recklessness get you killed!! " She yelled up to the rooftop which he was on.

Where did Hurs run off too? Though it was good that he scattered with the other male, it was still unsafe to be too far away from the protection of their senpais up above. Hana glanced over at Pluto. "We need to come up with a plan, and actually work as a class and as a team. It's obvious that we are not strong enough to go one on one and make it out with the least amount of casualties." she said sternly. "The hollows can understand us, so we need to gather somewhere else for only a few moments to quickly come up with a strategy." she said hoping that he would agree with her.  

OOC: Roleplaying 101 (from someone who's done this for about six years)

1. Even though I'm a noob at bleach compared to all of you, I don't think we are all considered "Senior Shinigami". I dont even think we are considered true shinginami yet because we are ALL still in the academy -- which is a place to learn how to be a shinigami.
2. please reread your posts before you click SEND. Sometimes you mess up. It happens.
3. Just because someone cusses in their post, doesnt mean you have to cuss too.  
4. please dont crossover other animes/ mangas/ refrences (AKA: Believe It -> Naruto)
5. dont rip off other ideas that have been already created. Use your brain. There is creativity in there somewhere.
6. Don't drag on your sentences to just make "long posts". Quality beats quantity.
7. Don't be a pansy and dont take this to heart, but seriously.... you all cant be BEASTS like Hitsugaya or Ichigo.... Though this is an rp of an anime/manga, you should still make it practical in terms of the anime/manga.
8. Don't be immature about this. Take this as constructive criticism. If you are going to be immature and hate me, tell it to my face, or else I have the right to say that I have more balls than all of you "men" on this site.

((@Crow Young. Please read the Hollow’s attacks carefully. The Hollows are actually stronger than you are. Just keep that in mind as we go along))

The Hollow Sheng’s appetite was growing with every waking moment that went by. The blonde hair, triple sword wielding man was dumber than a beast. One could easily chalk it up to absolute guts and fearlessness. And then most others may view it as sheer stupidity and a lack of experience and know how. This mission exercise may have been a test for the 12th Division members. After all, they’re the ones who orchestrated that entire thing. But was this part of their calculation too? Watching Ryu in action against the Hollow, made one wonder. Did the student believe himself to be more than a match for the Hollow?

The share naivety and lack of care on Ryu’s part may well be his own downfall in the end. The Hollow Sheng’s powerful roar that turned into a shock wave shattered windows, causing glass to broken up into tiny splinter pieces. Ryu was also knocked back in the process, but was more than eager to carry on fighting. At this point in time, the Hollow was already on the prowl, meanwhile sensing the potential danger. It was at this time that a wise member of the group called out to the man. The Hollow could only assume that her words were aimed at the triple sword blonde. He was the one with the death wish after all.

Hollow Sheng soon sized up Ryu, noticing the Kido spell that was being prepared. This creature was not as unintelligent as it looked. It would not have survived the Shinigami for this long if it was. This was something the students had not taken into consideration at all. Hollow Sheng lifted its clawed hand, now directed it in Ryu’s direction. The only leg of the Hollow was at the ready, bent in a certain manner as if he was about to fly out the blocks in a hundred meter sprint. This was how it hunted. And in some strange way, a certain silence engulfed the area where Ryu D Arc and the Hollow did battle. It was time to turn it up now and so it did.

Hollow Sheng suddenly burst forward with speed unlike any the student could match. Its clawed hand was rolled up in a fist of sorts, as it closed the gap between itself and Ryu. Hollow Sheng was upon Ryu seeking to deprive the man of any suitable reaction to its actions. At this point the Hollow took a swipe at Ryu’s chest area. This vicious and speedy swipe was a diagonal one, starting from his left hip all the way up to his right shoulder. The idea was to have blood splattered in the area, as the creatures bloodlust grew even more.

((Hurs and Kaya))

The wicked tail of the winged Hollow collided with Kaya, launching the man in the streets. And as such he was laid out for a few moments. The student was given a lesson in Hollow attacks one on one. The moral of the story was not to underestimate the enemy. They may be weaker compared to other Hollows among their group. But they were certainly stronger, and far more defiant than the students themselves. If the winged creature had the ability to chuckle it would have done so. But its beast like nature did not allow for it to do so at all. The Hollow that hovered above watched with some satisfaction as Hurs had also felt the force of its wicked tail.

But this was far from what the Hollow had planned for the two Shinigami down below. Hurs and Kaya were planning something, but they too were naïve. Was it any wonder why the Shinigami often die as a result of underestimating the Hollow race? The winged Hollow’s hunter and killer instincts was in overdrive. The creature was oddly patient for some reason as if awaiting something. The moth dust was at work, and while it was slow on the uptake, it was ever present. The last portion of moth dust touched down in the area. And so too did the winged creature. Its large body was now in full view as it touched down on a roof top, balancing on the edge.

It had no more reason to use its ability to camouflage itself, since the trap had already been sprung. The large dark green body of the creature settled down. The while stripes running along its tail made it seem all the more dangerous. It had razor sharp talons, along with equally dangerous wings. A wide mask with three red lines running along with adorned the creature’s face. Its Hollow eyes glowed from behind the mask now observing Hurs and Kaya. The effects of the moth dust will soon become evident. The Hollow soon opened up its wings, while gearing up for another assault. Meanwhile, slowly but surely Kaya and Hurs’ bodies will soon have a burning sensation all over it. Meanwhile their vision blurred, now seeing doubles of the Hollow that preyed upon them.

In addition to this, their bodies soon felt heavier than usual, almost as if it was going to be a struggle for them to be able to move forward at all. The Hollow wasn’t going to be so easily lured into their trap, not this time anyway. Maybe now after feeling the effects can they understand why the Hollow was in no rush to attack them. They may flee if they wish, but that means they would be playing into the hands of the Hollow. Yes, they were nothing more than prey indeed. And all the Hollow had to do was waiting for them to drop dead. Then again the creature may elect to have a feast before that moment can come to past.

Far above the students, Hideo raised an eyebrow as he watched the events on the ground on an eyepiece. The sensors he had planted on his customized hollow showed it giving chase in its own weird way to Anira. He grinned; he would finally see if substance Alpha-1 would give its desired effect.

(Janza)

The huge fat hollow would just stand there, seemingly oblivious to its surroundings. As Janza approached he would realize that once he would stab for the hollow, it would spew out toxic green goo that could lead any observer to believe that it was practically made of the stuff completely. It would burn at the touch, as the hollow de-pressurized a bit. It soon, however, would snap back into defense mode and raise a palm at Janza, firing dark green projectiles in an explosive shotgun spread at the student, small but dangerous bullets that could easily pierce the skin. The hollow would also noticeably shrink a bit, given that it was using up some of the goo.

(Hana and Jin)

The tentacles fell off the toadstool hollow as it focused on Janza. There would be a lull in the danger for a few seconds, due to Janza and Ryu playing the hero roles, but this was only the eye of the storm as yet another threat approached. Anira would suddenly be blasted into a wall as a high-velocity red gelatin came seemingly out of nowhere, much faster than the green goo that had attacked her before. The giant, fat hollow in the distance was tall enough and amazingly smart enough to have precision aim and it had decided to sneak attack while the students were pre-occupied.

Hideo grinned. The particular student this hollow had found was a perfect test subject.

Anira would be knocked out and sustained heavy impact injuries as if just hit by a tank shell, but she was alive. Her will to surpass other students and hold her own in the ranks of shinigami, suddenly blossomed into a new feeling as this gelatin seeped into her skin. Her skin became lustrous and metallic and her eyes’ whites became red with her yellow irises.

Hideo fist pumped as he dodged a hollow in the sky above. He had done it. Temporarily, he had created his first ‘pure shinigami’ soul.

The android-like Anira stood with perfect posture, with defined lean wiry muscle at attention. The fat hollow in the distance took a few steps forward and then spewed a shower of a liquid form of the green stuff which would rain down on everyone in the area. It burned at the touch, although non-lethal, and would act as a marker for Hideo’s new creation to assess that there was a threat. It now saw everyone with the exception of itself as an enemy. This way Hideo could assess its combat capabilities against both humanoid threats and monsters.

It would start with Jin. Anira raised up its blade with two hands and ran at Jin. It would suddenly raise its sword as if to slash down vertically but instead feinted and would bring its knee up into a flying knee attack, turning its body in mid-air to hit Jin’s temple while at the same time blocking whatever sword counter-attack Jin would have for it. She had retained all of the skill she had attained in the academy but was now much more aggressive and instinctual.

Something was wrong. Why was something wrong? What was wrong? It felt like gazing through a light fog or trying to see clearly through a window spattered with mud. It was unclear, uncertain. Every little detail since the academy students arrived in this city, up to and past the initial hollow attacks, seemed odd. There was no clear goal or purpose for them to be there from Janza's perspective. So, what was wrong?

Janza felt the blood on his face, the copper smell filling his nose. Was that his blood? Maybe, but it just as easily could have come from any number of the students lying on the ground in pools of blood. No matter which, the smell covered the toxic smell seeping through the slight gash his blades had left in the fat hollows leg. He did not miss the next one.

Woah!! Not good. The sickening smell coming from the two new holes were impossible to miss. It smelled like several thousand batteries were dumped into a sewage plant. Janza fell from the hollow as his nose scrunched up and his eyes watered. None of it touched his skin, but a large portion of his sleeve magically disappeared. Largely ignored, Janza hit the ground rolling. What came next, not physical training could help.

Anguish flooded from palpable waves. He was too slow, and Anira played for it. Two words resonated in his mind: my fault.

My fault.

Janza slide along on the ground between the two hollows.


My fault.

He pulled up in a slight crouch. Bits of his sandals came loose.

"MY FAULT!!!" Janza's body trembled with fury. His reiatsu was no longer even or consistent. Even though, he saw the creature shrink through his swollen eyes. "That's... weird." There was no time to stop and study or grieve. The hollows next attack was launched at him, a close range shotgun-esque spread of projectiles. No time to run, no time to protect his body completely, Janza half dodged/ rolled to the side while pulling his reiatsu only to vital spots. Even if he had to take damage, the tentacled hollow was facing a barrage himself.

Dozens of small projectiles hammered Janza. The entire left side was a mess of shredded bandages and clothing. If somebody looked closely, they could see large portions of strange tattoos through the bits of blood and clothing. Oddly enough, the little bullets didn't pierce as far as he was expecting at certain spots, but his entire side was riddled with puncture wounds.

Stopping was not an option, neither was cursing the shinigami that led him here. Either he was a colossal failure and was overwhelmed/dead, he threw them into a trial by fire, or he meant for these things to happen. That fat hollow was too weird. None of that mattered right now. Only the two hollows did. Janza couldn't stop moving now, or he would likely collapse. He had to see how fast the big one was. The wooden and metal blades in his hands vaguely held traces of the white lightning kidou as they both slashed ferociously at the fat hollow's left leg.

Hideo would pay some time later... if Janza survived.

( Haven't I took all the hollows without edvading them. I though I was rping fair.... I didn't know I did something incorrectly. I am sorry I will try to do better God!)

Ryu D. Arc couldnt believe the luck he was having with this hollow. This creature didn't move a bit . In fact if they was keeping score the hollow was winning. Just about every strike Ryu toss at it he couldn't past it skin. That trick  was getting old but what the Hollow didn't know is Ryu wasn't going to shoot kido at him. In fact he was doing the exact opposite. He he had learn earlier that his weak kido don't have much effect but imagine a unstable kido ?



All Ryu  had to do is lure the Hollow in and that what he did releasing a great deal of reiastu.The hollow had took the bait and rush forward at unpredictable movement that even a student eyes couldn't follow. This may hurt  Ryu D. Arc had grin a bit as the Hollow had landed a shallow cut across his chest. Due to the reaistu acting as a bit of a barrier. Not to mention the suddenly released of his unstable reaistu.. Which engulf both the Hollow and Ryu large amount of smoke and flames cover the rooftop.


It was due to the effect of failure kido which wasn't completely properly. The kido known as Red flash cannnon back fire. It would blast Ryu back several feet. Ryu had blood pour out his chest as well as he was gagging for breath. Ryu was holding his chest he was barely holding on to his consciousness. He was on his knee's as for the hollow he couldn't tell due to large amount of smoke. Ryu hands was slightly burn and his blades was shealthe each of them.

So many things were happening at once, Hana didn't know what to concentrate on first. Pluto was explaining something to her, and he mentioned that he was thinking about giving her his Asasuchi, and she was about to explain how she's practiced in kendo. However, before she could, in the corner of her eyes, she saw the other girl (Anira) get hit with this red gelatin substance, and that's when things got complicated. It was as if she became a robot or something. But that wasn't the worst part... She had became the enemy and was attacking.

Hana looked around to see what was going on. Janza was handling the hollow, which was good, that gave Hana and Pluto more time to worry about the metallic girl, who was currently rushing after Janza. Out of desperation and out of adrenaline, Hana picked up an Asasuchi from a fallen classmate and held it ready, prepared to help Pluto with Anira, standing away from Pluto, but close enough so that Anira, her and him created a triangle shape, with Anira at the point. She was slightly scared because this girl, before she changed, had great strength and skill, and was one of the top students of their class, however, that skill and strength seemed to be amplified and more violent, and that's what made Hana hesitate slightly.

Kaya nodded after hearing Hurs' plan, it was wreckless but it ws the only option they had. Once the hollow had fallen victim to Hurs' plan Kaya would have to hack away at the hollow until there was nothing remaining. Noticing that the moth was trying to knock them out with his spores Kaya decided to continued to go along with it's intent. He winked at Hurs before starting his act, he stumbled before standing up completely but he made himself appear as if he was about to fall back down while he was holding the sword Hurs had handed to him like a drunk

"L-like I'd let you win..." with this poor declaration Kaya fell back down to the ground making it seem as if the spores had taken their toll on him. Once the moth had taken notice to hurs jumping down the manhole it got stuck in the hole just as planned, it seemed as if Hurs took priority as he was still mobile. Kaya took this chance to silently dash towards the trapped hollow and began to make precise cuts towards its main body and continued hacking until he could stab its face.

"Yo hurs! If this works I'm buying you a drink!"

Hurs smiled and then nodded at Kaya, understanding what he was planning.

"If this doesn't work it's been an honor coming this far."

He would definitely have a drink if they survived this. With that, Hurs pseudo played along with the weird effects that were ocurring with his perception. He wasn't really playing along but rather remaining calm and conserving his rapidly decreasing energy by dropping to his knees. Once the hollow would attack he would listen to the buzzing once it neared and then would suddenly burn his reiatsu for one last kidou..

"Aim for the wings."

He whispered to Kaya. The kidou would be the only one he had in his arsenal and he would intentionally aim slightly above the hollow to make sure it would stay on direct course instead of flying above and playing with them. They could only keep this up for so long and if they had to take this thing out it was now or never. Once he had fired the kidou, he would suddenly get up into a sha no mamas zanjutsu stance (taken from an actual kenjutsu stance) and slash from the hip to his upper right lunging diagonally forward so he would both miss the central part of the hollow's body and instead hit some part of the wing. His movement was wild but it was all he could really do (outside of yelling his head off as he swung) when he had blurry vision and was completely outmatched in power.

(Janza)
The fat hollow watched the student gain a fascination for his leg. If the little bug wanted to be squashed so badly, then by all means… The foot of the hollow would gain mass as the fluid built up in the leg intentionally. Once Janza slashed, thicker acid would spew onto him to burn and blind. The final nail in the coffin would be the hollow keeling over from both the wound and the intention to slowly crush Janza under its knee on the pavement of the street. It would suddenly be paralyzed in its place as a new power began to activate in the vicinity.


#Crow Young

There was a clash of forces as the Hollow closed in on Ryu D Arc, its clawed hand extended and therefore completed the aforementioned swipe at Ryu’s body. In the same breath the fledging had some ideas of his own making. And as a result the Kido spell that he was charging up, so happened to explode in a fiery display. The end product of this strategy saw Ryu thrown backward several feet away from the Hollow. Smoke covered the form of the Hollow like a curtain coming down after the final act of the show. The Hollow was now hidden in plain sight behind this thick veil of smoke. And as for Ryu, the blonde was currently trying to recover from the most recent act of chivalrous stupidity.

There was a low growl from the Hollow one that began to grow louder. The Hollow’s anger was becoming more evident with each waking moment that passed by. Its head thrashed from side to side, as its silhouette could be seen behind the smoke that was now lifting. The Hollow came to a stop as its eyes glowed, now ready to devour its prey this time round. There was maybe one last assault that will teach the fledgling Shinigami the lesson of a life time. Blood spilled on the ground coming from Ryu, having dripped from the Hollow’s clawed hand. However, blood was also dripping from the Hollow who was now injured.

Ryu’s attacked wasn’t totally ineffective, but the extent of the Hollow’s injuries wasn’t as bad as what many would have originally thought. The important thing here was that Ryu did manage to injure the creature, and it may be the reward for his brash ways. His efforts wasn’t all for nothing, but what will now happen to the man? This goo was now all over the area as it seems. The smoke cleared and the Hollow found Ryu on his knees, looking worse for wear. A loud roar of anger echoed throughout the area. The beast didn’t attack this time, it was more of a standoff between itself and Ryu now.

It would suddenly be interrupted by a shaved shinigami female flash stepping behind the hollow and deftly swinging with a force that not only sliced its mask horizontally in half but also used her foot to make what was underneath crumple into a mass of flesh underneath her foot. Ryu would notice that this was a captain with a haori that showed she was from the sixth squad. She nonchalantly ignored any reaction Ryu would have to her sudden appearance and focus her senses on a hollow that was strong but far away that seemed to be harassing two other students. She kicked off and followed the presence.

#Hurs and Kaya

The winged Hollow observed Kaya and Hurs knowing instinctively that its spores were at work. This tactic was often employed in order to soften up the prey before the Hollow could devour them. The creature was very patient, almost like a snake striking and then waiting for its victim to be at death’s doors before seizing said prey. The winged creature maintained its position, looking down at the two Shinigami. The beast soon began to fade into nothingness, slowly as it went into its camouflage state.

Once the creature had completely vanished after a few moments, the Hollow took flight quietly while deciding to cause a little bit of disturbance as a sign of it no longer occupying the position. The strange and frightening thing for the duo of Kaya and Hurs was. They could not be certain if the Hollow had flown upward and decided to descend on their position. Since its camouflage or cloaking ability made it somewhat difficult to detect. That was for the students at least  considering such a notion is considered false to other Shinigami.

For now though, the Hollow decided to leave Hurs and Kaya suffering the effects of its dust. The Hollow climbed high above the two while plunging downward in a dive. The momentum from the Hollow crashing down on Hurs will cause a loud crash. But this wasn’t about simply crashing into the man. Instead this was about plucking the Shinigami from its position like a Hawk snatching a hare that had no idea it was being targeted.

Suddenly, the hollow would be immediately split open from its back as it carried Hurs.

"You boys okay?"

The female captain of the sixth squad with the shaved head and earrings from the third squad suddenly appeared in the air above the moth as if to mock its successful bird-of-prey maneuver. Chihaya-taicho was determined not to let any students die today, and she prided herself on it, being one of the new generation of captains who took their jobs more seriously as a profession than a passion. Once Hurs and Kaya would confirm this, she would instantly pick up on the fact that they were affected by some kind of poision, although benign for now. She ushered over fourth squad members and then vanished before the two could ask her any questions. Being a professional, she was not one for idle chat or unnecessary questions and believed in keeping distance from her peers even other fellow captains. Nevertheless she gave a genuine smile to all; while she kept distance she still tried to be as friendly as possible for shinigami of lower ranks never knew when their time of death could come on the battlefield. Hence, she always tried to leave a good impression because it may be one of their final memories.

Anira instinctually dodged the upper cut by gaining footholds in the air near Pluto’s chest and kicking off. She kicked off so that she would flip onto the ground, which would put her out of the trajectory of the sapphire fist with quicker dodging that came in the form of a flipping cartwheel. Just when she was about to pick off the weakest target, Hana, she was interrupted by the tentacle hollow which had just finished on using half the class present as snacks. Anira suddenly turned her head at the monstrosity in the night sky and glared. Nothing was going to get in the way of her mission of purifying all elements marked in the area. She waited for tentacles to rush at her and then jumped back as they came, timing her movements so that the tentacles would come close enough together to only cover one point. With a sweeping slice of the blade, three were severed at the tip. She then rushed up the air towards the main body. A sickening chop could be heard as the mass of tentacles all tried to swallow her completely. After a disturbing writhe the hollow fell over in pain, deeply wounded by what had just ripped out of the tentacles.

Anira emerged and then looked down on the hollow that had gotten in her way. Her left arm was broken and she was missing a right eye, yet still looked on with cold determination. With a dive she aimed a stab straight for the mask. The possessed student held on, almost in tune with the rhythm of the hollow’s death convulsions, and then tore its mask in half with its asauchi. Anira was badly hurt from taking on an adversary, bleeding from multiple wounds but she paid no heed and simply dragged a dislocated leg forward to take on the goo hollow.

Suddenly the tentacle hollow and fatboy would be hit by a sudden paralysis as Hideo suddenly neared. He dropped down from above and swung with an evident zanpakuto in shikai form in the shape of some kind of short sword with a ritualistic magical symbol that was grafted halfway between the blade. The hollows began to stop what they were doing and retrace their steps/movements back where they had come but instead of simply going back to the negative realm, they dissipated into masses of soul chains and then particles.

He sheathed his zanpakuto with a stern expression on his face.

“My apologies. I did not know there would be so many in wait for this sector of the city. I’m amazed you’re still alive.”
With that, his adjutants would tend to the wounded and restrain the infected Anira.

“You’ll be fine. I’ll make sure the best of medical and scientific technology will be used to get you back to being intact. No students should ever have to experience this.”

He then folded his hands behind his back and then nodded to a 12th division member who opened a portal back to Soul Society. Various 4th division shinigami filed through, contacted from the reports as well as a blonde, brown-eyed individual with an angry expression from the 6th. He quietly but angrily took Hideo through the portal where no one could hear their conversation and began interrogating him as everyone walked through the dangai in low whispers.

Chihaya-taicho would appear in front of everyone in the dangai. She walked silently ahead to lead the others back to Soul Society.

The fat hollow was too big for its own good. Granted, fighting something far larger than one's self wasn't something simple itself. Everything move was rather abruptly or a powerful burst. Where the hollows greatest strength came from its size, so did its weakness. It was literally the equivalent of hitting a target the size of a barn. Janza could strike at any point on the creature. It didn't even have to be a vital point. Perhaps acid gushing out of any wound was pretty potentially, but Janza noticed the diminished size of his opponent from the earlier strike that pierced it. He knew what would happen this time. He was prepared. Not stopping, not letting a burst of acid to splash in his face, was key.

Janza danced around the hollow in his rough style. As the expected acid came for him, he pivoted around the massive leg falling over him through the use of his bokken stabbing into the ground.

This was where the hollow's massive size worked against it. It was not nimble enough to instantly change direction, to do so would defy most reasoning. And, if Janza was lucky, this is how he would trap it. Every bit of him, each and every muscle, an entirety of his energy, and every ounce of his concentration went into piercing and pinning the leg to the ground with his asauchi.

But none of that mattered.

In one instant the entire section of the city seemingly reverted back to normal. Or, at least some semblance of normalcy. Janza was left staggered as if somebody had turned on a bright light in a dark room. All of that furious energy and momentum melted away quietly with nowhere left to go. Time slowed down for him as everyone around him sped up into a blur. Leaning against the asauchi, Janza ignored the mass of singed clothing on his left and turned his gaze to the night sky. A trail of blood ran down the middle of his face and around his eyes. Multiple shinigami passed by asking if he required assistance, but Janza shrugged them away. His injuries weren't so critical that he would die without help. Besides, he didn't really like medics or hospitals... they made him nervous.

Students and shinigami alike shuffled through the gate to home. Out of the corner of his eye, Janza saw Video slink away under the gaze of what looked like a member of the 6th division. There was nothing to be done about that today. That would have to wait. As the group dissolved and was left with a few people, a light rain began to fall. Janza smiled sadly as the rain wiped the blood gently away from his face. After a minute, Janza followed.

As quickly as things occurred, after everyone was finally getting into the mood of the situation, calming down and becoming more focused, everything just stopped. Hana couldnt help but glare at Hideo and his half hearted apology. Hana did not respond and just dropped the Asauchi she picked up.

After that, Hana just sighed and started to observe and inspect everyone and everything, when she was suddenly snapped out of her trance from the sound of Pluto's voice. She gave him a polite smile, and before she could explain that she was not a hime, he sheathed his asauchi and walked through the portal. Hana just sighed again and followed suit, wanting to take a nice hot bath and a meal, as well as a good night's sleep when she got back to the academy.

After being disoriented, exhausted, and then fatigued, by the time Hurs had been snatched up by the moth he was reaching the point where his swings were losing strength. It all really felt like a dream to him as he sailed through the city night sky most likely towards his demise. He was still thinking to himself that he could regain his footing and change his fate but deep down he knew it was all over. A wave of relief swept over him as he felt new reiatsu signatures phasing into the reality of the human world, but he still feared if this would get the bug to finish him off quicker. Suddenly, he was falling due to the bug dropping him from a sudden powerful presence that appeared above both of them.

Hurs flipped over and landed in the air, the moth dust already beginning to lose its effect on him. He nodded at the captain that appeared who certainly had the figure of a lady despite the attempts to look androgenous.

"Hey I'm Hurs Ulrich and this is Kay-a..."

He stopped his speech as the captain seemed to be cordial but business only. Hurs shrugged his shoulders at Kaya and walked through the portal glad to be alive. Everything seemed strange alright because If Hideo's behavior but... Something else about this whole setup was wrong. It didn't seem like any of the newcomers or 12th members were necessarily accomplices of Hideo and Hideo was definitely caught in the act of at least being neglectful of students, something definitely worthy of harsh consequences. With all of this, why did he seem so calm? Hurs pondered how bizarre the situation really was and wondered how such a lunatic could be so sloppy for someone who seemed so bright.

Kaya couldn't believe it but it seems he and hurs had pulled through once again.  Granted it would have been nice to have been put in such a crappy situation to begin with at least they were able to walk away with their lives.  Plus on the bright side how many students could say that they survived a run in with a bunch of hollows?

Kaya was grateful towards the captain that had saved their lives, however he couldn't shake the feeling that something was still wrong.  How did something like this happen? According the Academy hollows werent exactly a super rare thing but to have this many of them concentrated in one area?  That was something that didn't usually happen even in the real world The instructor's actions were a bit weird as well, however for now it would be best to just focus on getting home and getting some rest.  Discussing this with Hurs after resting up would be the best option.
