Appearance: Ryu is a massive, stoic and muscular man, his body being lightly tanned in color, and muscular all over. His shoulders are broad and thick. His face have two scars on them; One being on the right side of his chin, covered up by a small piece of tape, and the other on the left side of his face, starting at his forehead, going around his left eye, and down to the bottom of it. His hair is uniquely cut, being stubbed at the sides, yet still having a medium-tall mohawk at the middle of it. His hair is yellow-blonde in color, and his eyes are a deep blue.

The Heart



Personality: Ryu is a bold, stubborn and 'rude' in his posture, often berating and insulting people for minor nuisances that he seeks to 'correct' by trying to instill traits of respect and bravery into people he talks to, especially in these times of grave fear and desperation. He is almost unfazed by any fear or face of danger that he is met by, only greeting them with a battle-hungry smirk, and a promise of a swift fight and death. His evident lack of fear is due to having hardened through many tasks and situations in his life, and thus grown so hardened to the point that he is unaffected by minor fears that'd otherwise leave another Shinigami paralyzed.
 
He is also very rash, quick-thinking and hasty in his actions and decisions, not liking to draw things out for too long, or participate in long, boring conversations. It is a dislike that he has inherited from the time when he was a child, and whilst it has died down to a point, it is still somewhat there, and makes him more eager to just jump into things rather than wait. The Tale


History:Ryu was born into the family of Arc, a very highly-regarded and noble Shinigami family that have been the leaders of Soul Society for century after century, so it was of no given surprise that the birth of Ryu was seen as a highly-regarded one, as even the Spirit King ambassador commended the Arc family head for another successful offspring. However, as Arc grew up, it was obvious that he was a somewhat black sheep of the family, whereas most of his family members were stern, stoic, respectful and loyal, Ryu was loud, boisterous, reckless, naive and with a great passion for pulling pranks rather than being at boring meetings and family gatherings. He still is a bit reluctant for dragged out meetings today, but in a more blunt, 'mature' manner rather than his childish behavior in the past. Regardless, his childish behavior was not really approved by most of the Arc family, especially not by one of his grandfathers; Dragon D. Arc

The old man took a quick disapproval of his grandson's behavior, and would advise his fellow family members that it'd be wise to try and discipline him as quick as possibly, which the others agreed to. Ryu was taken into the slums of Rukongai, along with Dragon, as his grandfather quickly taught him that he had to grow up in order to defend himself from the world around him. There were thugs who were more than willing to try and strike the new heir of Arc down, sometimes with the intent to kill, even. Arc of course, did not know how to defend himself when it came to such assaults, and all he could do for a time was run and hide. He wondered why Dragon was even allowed to do something like this to him, but finally realized at one point that it was to make him stronger... to be able to defend himself. Whilst the method was unorthodox in itself, Ryu still learned a few very good opportunities to defend himself whilst in Rukongai, quickly developing an liking for Hakuda, and Shunpo. This is where Dragon decided he'd be taken back to Soul Society.. for a more through training in the academy.

Hello! Thanks for making a character with us!.

Alright we have a few things to talk about here.

We're pretty open background wise here. However, we have had a few people bring up the Soul King and Major noble families in PM's. In the interest of fairness, I gotta ask that you remove that portion.

This is partly due to creative control, We have one person with a Major noble family, and in return they have given up quite a bit of control of said family for story line purposes. If you would still be int rested, please indicate that when you respond.

Secondly, on the Spirit King, im ok with that as long as you make it an emissary or messenger form the Soul King IF you choose to allow for some creative control of the family to be given up. If not then please change this part.

Lastly, i just want to make sure you realize that you will enter the RP as an Academy student and have no other skills or abilities that will exceed that of the other Player characters until you train said skills.

As of yet, you will not be allowed to use reiryoku or Shunpo until they have been trained. So please edit those out as well.

I am interested in releasing some control of my noble family.

and their are no real privileges per se when it comes to your character, as a noble though your going to have a vastly different experience and outlook than people who grew up in the rukongai. How you want to play that is up to you.

In this rp, their will be major and minor noble houses. The major houses obviously have more power and say in the politics of Soul Society so when a player asks for a major house that obviously is something we have to pay attention too.

So what we do is take away some control of said family from the Rp'r, rest assured you will have some say in what happens with the family , but we reserve the right to use them as needed to advance a plot or story line.
